Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The goal of the Watershed Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is to help our patients practice recovery management skills and techniques while transitioning to independent living.  During this phase of care, our patients will be able to practice what they learned in treatment in a real life setting while still being able to utilize clinical therapy and community sober supports.

Patients who have progressed in their treatment through our Partial Hospitalization Program will then be able to transition into our Intensive Outpatient Program. During this phase, most patients choose to live at The Residence, a supportive environment for independent recovery living.

The IOP phase is specifically designed to help patients transition to everyday activities like work, school, or family care, while continuing to take ownership of their recovery process. During this phase, patients will spend at least 9 hours a week in a structured, supportive group setting led by licensed professionals.

Patients will have the chance to participate in the following activities during IOP:

One of the many benefits of attending our IOP is the ability to receive therapy, medical attention, and psychiatric services on an as-needed basis. All of the Intensive Outpatient Program’s groups and sessions are geared toward treating the underlying causes of addiction and facilitating lasting recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.

Our mission is to empower each person to work towards becoming their “best self”, thereby learning new ways to cope with stress, anxiety and depression for a healthy everyday lifestyle. Our goal is to help each and every one our patients continue on their path in recovery so they may stay clean and sober.
