Update 06/12/2017 – Tiger Woods is going to rehab according to the New York Post. He reserved the male inpatient floor at Jupiter Medical Center and also is facing losing custody of his two children.  A mixture of Xanax and Vicodin was found in his system after his arrest.

Tiger Woods was arrested for a DUI in Jupiter, Florida this past Monday and new details are emerging.

The 41-year-old golf pro was caught sleeping at the wheel by Jupiter police early Monday morning on May 29, 2017.  Woods was suspected to be under the influence and stated that, “an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly,” was to blame, according to The Palm Beach Post.  He did take a Breathalyzer test to check for alcohol, and it came up 0.000, twice – along with a negative urine test, according to CNN. The drugged driving arrest comes after four back surgeries and his attempts to continue to get back to the sport he loves playing.

One thing is for sure,  drugged driving under any circumstance is not OK. We hope that Woods takes this incident very seriously and gets help before situations like these become more frequent.
