Lamar Odom, 33, was reportedly missing for three days after a confrontation with wife Khloe Kardashian. Rumors of drug abuse spread quickly, and recent reports from TMZ and ESPN state that Lamar Odom is not missing. Apparently family and friends are actually having an intervention to help Odom with his drug addiction instead. With all the hype surrounding the NBA player, Lamar Odom drugs and addiction problems seem to be overshadowing his game right now.

Reports of Lamar Odom’s drug abuse have been circulating for the past 2 years and have been affecting his NBA career and now marriage to Khole Kardashian. Information has been leaking out that Odom was smoking Oxycontin and doing cocaine while playing for the Dallas Mavericks. Odom was cut from the Mavs mid-season and paid in full to be inactive until he could be traded again. The reason was defined as a difference of opinion and a clash between Odom and Mavs Owner Mark Cuban. Now there is speculation that Odom’s drug abuse problem has escalated to crack.

Even with rumors spreading that Khloe and Lamar on the verge of divorce, she still defends Odom on Twitter “@KhloeKardashian: Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk s*** about my family! F*** you and shame on you! I’m too protective for this s***!” Khloe has been sleeping at her Mother’s house trying to deal with her husband’s drug abuse problem and also cope with her own emotions about his drug addiction.

Update on Lamar Odom 08/30/2013: Lamar Odom has recently been arrested for a DUI Friday morning by California Highway Patrol. Police officers allegedly spotted Odom driving recklessly on the 101 freeway in the San Fernando Valley area. Lamar Odom spent over 3 hours in jail before he was released after posting a $15,000 bond. Odom is scheduled to appear before a judge in the Van Nuys Municipal Court on September 27, 2013.
