What Are Your Goals?
Many of us come into recovery with one goal – to get clean and sober. We live one day at a time and practice this new way of life in hopes of achieving just that. After sometime we discover that we have accomplished some goals that we never thought we would have been able to do without our program of recovery. The very cool part about this is that we don’t have to stop dreaming or going after new goals (provided they are healthy and do not deter us from our recovery or Higher Power), because living clean and sober allows us to follow our dreams and live the life we were always meant to live.
Gifts Of Recovery
Recovery gives us the opportunity to dream big, live a life beyond our wildest dreams, and be happy, joyous, and free. What an amazing gift that should not be wasted. The trick in accomplishing our goals is to work our program one day at a time, practice principles in all our affairs, put in the work to accomplish said goals, and leave the results up to a Higher Power. The gifts of recovery may be challenging sometimes, but that just means you and your world is changing for the better.
Just for today, I am going to dream big, create goals, and go after them while also allow my program to guide the progress.
