Freedom To Be Happy
Recovery, fellowship, supports, service, and a higher power enable us to have the freedom to be happy today.
You know what is great about today? Today we can choose happiness and joy. We are deserving of good things. And they are ready for us to have if we are willing to accept it.
We no longer have to suffer in our own thinking and we can be free of the grip of addiction and the grip of misery. Because, the amazing thing about recovery, there is no finish line and we always have the opportunity to grow and become happier, healthier people.
Furthermore, it can be easy to sometimes feel like life is getting ahead of us or be confused in what direction we should be going. Or if we are even going in the right direction. However, if we sit still long enough the answer seems to just come. Sometimes that answer comes quickly, sometimes it takes time, but it always come when we are open to receiving it.
In conclusion, Happiness is a choice and it is not dependent on how much money you have, your social status, or how many material things you own, it’s 100% an inside job and it can happen at any time on any day if you choose to allow yourself the freedom to be happy. You are deserving of it and you are worth all the blessings in the world. Let today be the day you let your happiness shine for all the world to see.
Just for today, I will choose the freedom to be happy.
