Chocoholics Snorting Chocolate Is Now A Thing
Yes, you did heard that correctly. Some people are actually snorting chocolate for pleasure.
Snorting chocolate is also not entirely a new concept either, strange as it may seem. Belgian chocolatier, Dominique Persoone, created what is known as the Chocolate Shooter (very similar to the 19th century snuff machine), a device literally used to help you snort cocoa, in 2007.
It was originally designed for Ron Wood and Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones birthday party. But once chocolate lovers around the world caught wind of it, sales have since sky rocked to more than 25,000.
Chocoholics Snorting Chocolate Effects
Apparently it makes users feel more alert while also relaxing the muscles and providing a rush of endorphins, along with some subtle side effects of course, like coughing and shivering for a moment.
As far as long-term effects go, chocoholics snorting chocolate up your nasal cavity is probably not the best idea. In fact, it is likely to cause some harmful sinus issues if done long-term or too much. It’s probably best to avoid the practice entirely, but who knows, chocoholics snorting chocolate might be a new trend coming our way.
Some compare snorting chocolate to having a cup of coffee. However, if that is the case, drinking coffee might be safer. This also raises some concerns for those who are trying to recover from cocaine addiction or pills (as in those who snorted crushed pills).
In conclusion, snorting any kind of substance could potentially be a trigger. And for those in recovery and may help aid in a relapse back to drug abuse. No matter how tempting a new way to get “buzzed” is. It’s best to not attempt to do something that could cause harm in the future and just stick to eating it.
