Treatment Solutions Confronted By CBS After Duffel Bag Incident
When a Boca Raton halfway house resident from Treatment Solutions stuffed their girlfriend in a duffel bag it certainly raised some majors concerns. A resident at the Treatment Solutions halfway house claims he was putting his girlfriend in the duffel bag because the halfway house does not allow female visitors to stay overnight. His well thought out plan was interrupted when a local Boca Raton man phoned police about the disturbing incident he was witnessing.
Treatment Solutions Halfway House
As the story unfolded earlier this week, halfway house managers at Treatment Solutions were confronted by CBS 12 about the duffel bag incident in the news clip below. Not only did Treatment Solutions claim it was a “Lie” but their behavior seemed unusually defensive. Even one man who claims he is a client threatened the news reporter and camera man by saying he would “break every bone” in their face.
Mark Economou from the Boca Raton Police Department posted a video blog on Facebook about the duffel bag incident because it was so unusual. Since the story broke, local South Florida residents have been making cracks about the incident. Although some may think it’s funny, could this situation be more serious for the gentlemen in recovery?
The truth is that this man was not only breaking his halfway house rules, he was also lying. Breaking bad habits and learning to be honest are crucial tools when it comes to an addict’s recovery. If an addict is lying and trying to cheat halfway house rules, he is putting himself and others in the halfway house at great risk. He could be potentially harming his own recovery and that can have serious and devastating consequences, even a potential for relapse.
Breaking Bad Habits In Recovery
Early recovery usually has a set of suggestions and rules that addicts are not use to following so it’s unfortunately not that uncommon for an addict to try to cheat their halfway house rules or lie to get what they want. The story itself seems harmless and a bit ridiculous but if you are in recovery and you find that you are lying and cheating in order to get away with something or do what you want, we hope you take this opportunity to change your behaviors before this funny story turns into a tragic one.Tags: halfway house, Recovery, Treatment
