These are times when having a sober support group, sponsor, and the attendance of 12-step meetings becomes even more critical. Having someone there to chime in about the long-term interests of staying sober is crucial to lasting success. However, the easiest way to avoid the temptation in early recovery is for the person to avoid the situation all together.
