“Breathe. Relax. Just Be.”
When we relax the mind, body, and spirit we allow the miraculous to happen. Meditation is a time of reflection, communication with your higher self and your higher power, and a time to relax and just be. This week, let us focus on relaxation as part of our lives and being. Each day, for the next 7 days, try this breathing exercise and see if it helps bring more inner peace to your life.
Meditation for mind body and spirit
Breathe deeply in through your nose and out through mouth for 10 breaths. You can now breath normally and imagine yourself in nature. It can be at the beach, in the rain forest, or at a place you hold dear to your heart. Imagine this world all around you. Each breath you take you become more aware of the
beautiful smells and all the amazing colors. Imagine the sun rays or rain drops touching your skin and creating a barrier of peace and love around your body. In this world, you are completely protected and cared for. You need not worry about a single thing, because all is provided for you and all your needs are met.
Allow yourself to stay here as you tense and release each muscle for 5 long seconds from your toes to your head. After you have reached your forehead take another 10 deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Slowly open your eyes and welcome the day as it comes.
