Keep Hope Alive
How many of us have lost faith or hope and really believed that things will not be OK? How many of us dropped to our knees begging our higher power to help us and then explaining to them exactly how it should be done? We either have done it in our addiction, in recovery, or both, but most of us have been there. When we find ourselves in that complete desperate moment, many times we lose faith, hope, and trust that our higher power can and will help us. Usually because they haven’t pulled us out of situation quick enough or done it the way we asked. It is called “a bottom” and it is pretty dark and scary place to live all by ourselves.
I think what makes any kind of bottom more scary is usually when we have hit it, it’s an experience we have never had before. This can make us even more unsure of how it will all work out. It is actually during this time that we must really reach deep down into our souls and believe harder than ever, work on that relationship with our higher power, keep hope alive, have faith, and most importantly trust that our higher power has our best interest at heart. It’s time to let go of trying to control what we fear and take action towards our relationship with our higher power and being of service.
Just for today, I will keep hope alive by building my relationship with my higher power. #WatershedCaresTags: detox monday, keep calm, monday motivation, motivational monday meditation
