“Be True To You!”

To Thine Own Self Be True
To thine own self be true through your commitments, honesty, character, and integrity. Living by principles in all affairs enables us to be true to ourselves and live a life of purpose.
When are true to ourselves we are not only able to grow through our experiences, but we are less likely to judge or criticize ourselves, our actions, and others. We do this by being honest with ourselves and others while also doing what we know is the right thing to do.
Sometimes the hard part about doing what is right or living by principles is not that we don’t get what we want, but that it may not always be popular. If there is fear of what others may think or the fear that others will not like us if we take action towards what is right, we may not want to follow through, but this where we need to the most. If we are not being true to ourselves, our principles, or our word then we aren’t truly free from fear.
Remember, it is also not always what you say or do, but more how you say or do it. So make sure you are acting with all the love in your heart and leaving your pride and ego behind.
Just for today, I will be true to myself and I will stand by principles and do the right thing now.
