Conrad Hilton has been sentenced to 90 days in inpatient rehab. The 21-year-old hotel heir and brother of Paris and Nicky Hilton entered the treatment for violating his probation. This, after a judge denied a request by authorities to put Conrad in jail for 60 days.
Where it all started
Back in July, Conrad was arrested after he allegedly threatened to kill British Airway flight attendants during a flight from London to Los Angeles. Conrad was accused of assaulting and intimidating the crew, screaming profanities at them and passengers, including “I am going to fing kill you!” In a statement made my Hilton’s lawyer, Conrad had taken sleeping pills before the flight. He had also allegedly smoked cigarettes and marijuana in the plane bathroom.
Following the incident
Conrad Hilton was sentenced to probation and 750 hours of community service after pleading guilty to the charge. Since then, he has allegedly violated his probation by failing drug tests, failing to complete three treatment programs, trespassing and traveling outside of California without permission.
Hilton family fame
The Hilton family members are no strangers to the limelight. In the early 2000’s, sisters Paris and Nicky took the world by surprise when seemingly out of nowhere, they were everywhere. The socialite sisters took to the red carpet at almost every high profile party, starred in movies, television shows and hosted events. You couldn’t go one day without seeing either Paris or Nicky’s name in a headline.
In 2006, Paris was met with many unfriendly headlines when she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. After violating probation several times, she was ordered to complete 45 days in jail.
She entered the Century Regional Detention Facility on June 5. However, on June 7 was resentenced to 40 days of home confinement with an electronic monitoring device, citing an unspecified medical condition.
4 years later, in 2010, she was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession in Las Vegas. She denied the cocaine was hers, but pled guilty to two misdemeanors to avoid a felony conviction.
