“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” – Chinese Proverb
A New Journey
Some of us had a great 2015, while others felt it could have gone better. This New Year is a new opportunity to reboot your life and create a new journey towards happiness, peace, and serenity.
Sometimes a fresh start really starts with a fresh perspective. Ever hear how positive thinking can help create positive things in your life? Well, it’s true. When I am going through a difficult time, it can seem like it’s never going to end and can ultimately get me down physically. Also mentally, and emotionally. This is where I have to super charge my recovery and really dive into meditation and positive thinking.
When I change my attitude
To being positive about myself, my life, and the world around me, then good things tend to happen – or at least my perception sees the good that is happening. If I dwell on everything that is wrong or negative, then all I see and feel are the bad things in my life and in this world. It’s downright depressing and it’s no way to go through life if we want to live a life beyond our wildest dreams.
Speaking of wildest dreams –
I’m living it and you most likely are too. Never in my life would I have thought I would have been able to stay sober long-term (if you are not sober and live a life beyond your wildest dreams, click here). That’s a miracle in itself. The longer we stay sober and the more life happens and we live it, the harder it can be to remember that our sobriety is the best gift of life that we could ask for.
I know that life can sometimes be difficult and seem like it’s never going to get better when we are going through it, but my experience has been that as long as I stay sober, the better my life can and will get. When I just have to remember that in order for me to receive the positive things in this world; I must have faith and also put out positive thinking and actions.
Just for today, I will be positive about my new journey into 2016.
