“Your value does NOT decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth.”
Know Your Worth Because You’re Worth It!
How many times have you overthought life and based your entire worth on what others thought, situations that happened, or even just your own self-sabotaging thoughts? It’s time to stop, because you are worth it and you need to start believing it.
Have you ever
Cared about what other people think about you that you don’t even like, respect, or care for? It’s almost like we need to find ways to get those kinds of people to like us. How can they not? Then we find ourselves allowing what they say or do to us to be a basis for what we think of ourselves. Other times we just care so much about what other people think (good or bad) that we try to mold ourselves to be whatever we think that person or persons wants us to be. At the end of the day we feel empty, lost, confused, and unloved and you know why? It’s because we are not standing by our own set of beliefs, we are not being true to ourselves, and we are not living to make ourselves happy.
We do not need to be mean or rude to take care of ourselves and our needs. There is a difference between self-care and being selfish. In the same respect it would be very selfish of me not to be my true self, be authentic, and be genuinely me. Others wouldn’t get the opportunity to know who I really am and a lot of trust would be lost if I were pretending to be someone else.
I am not perfect
And I certainly make my fair share of mistakes, but I try my hardest to be authentic and me always. I love who I am today and I know I am worth it. And you are too. If you are struggling with just being you or allowing others to walk all over you because you don’t know how to be OK with you, it’s time you start reaching out to friends that care and share that you want to be able to be you without fear. Take the risk of being you and know that you are worth it and you deserve to be happy, too!
Just for today, know your worth and stand by it.
You are worth it!
