Daylight Savings Time Change: Is It Time To Make A Life Change?

Sharethis Watershed

daylight savings time change 20152015 Daylight Savings Time change is scheduled for Sunday, March 8 at 2 a.m.

As we transition through the seasons, some of us may stop to reflect and think about our future and any changes we may need to make. Change can be a scary word for alcoholics and addicts, especially when they have to experience it clean and sober. The important thing to remember is that not all change is bad, and although scary, could be the best thing that ever happened in your life.

Daylight Savings Time Change

As we approach the daylight savings time change this year, let us take a moment to think about all the positive changes that have come to us and all the positive changes we can make if they haven’t. There is always room for change and we need not get down or discouraged if we feel we haven’t changed enough or if we feel we have changed too much. Life is about growth and sometimes growth can be scary. With the proper spiritual tools, you can recover from the fear of change and move forward on your journey to happiness.

Changing From Addiction To Recovery

Addicts and alcoholics have a tendency to destroy their lives in active addiction, which is also another reason why change can be so nerve wracking.  Many addicts and alcoholics will ask themselves if the changes they are experiencing in recovery are good ones or bad ones. Mostly because there is a fear that they will engage in old behaviors and relapse. This is why it is so important to have a sober support group. Bouncing ideas off other addicts and alcoholics is one of the best ways to see if the changes you are making in your life are healthy ones.

Whether you are in active addiction or active in your recovery, it may be time for a change in your life. Take this daylight savings time change as an opportunity to reevaluate your life and see if you are going in the direction you want to be heading in. If you feel like you need to change your behaviors or face your substance abuse issues, then now is the time to do it. It is never too late to spring forward and make a change that could bring you happiness for the rest of your life.
