Never a stranger to front-page news, Lindsay Lohan’s life have definitely been eventful. According to TMZ, Lohan has intentions of putting all that experience – the good, bad and the ugly – into narrative form as a tell-all book. What will Lindsay Lohan’s book talk about?
Lindsay Lohan’s Book
Lindsay’s timeline of addiction and legal troubles
Though LiLo saw success with an early and promising acting career with box-office hits like “The Parent Trap,” “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls,” Lindsay’s early adulthood would not strike quite the same chords. Soon she was headlining tabloids instead of cinema marquees.
Lindsay Lohan 2007
In 2007, Lohan’s troubles with addiction began to surface. That January, she voluntarily checked herself into rehab at Wonderland Center in Los Angeles, where she stayed for a 30-day treatment. But her good intentions didn’t last long. Between May and July of that year, Lindsay was arrested twice, both times for DUI and possession of cocaine. The first arrest resulted in court-mandated rehab, and her second arrest came just 11 days after she completed her stay, an evident sign she was not learning from her experiences. As a result of her July arrest, Lindsay landed back in rehab that August for her third admittance of the year.
Lindsay Lohan 2009-10
As reported by E! in this timeline of Lohan’s troubles with the law, the star’s legal problems worsened throughout 2009 and 2010, mostly as a result of her failure to comply with the terms of her probation. After a series of run-ins with the law, Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail, although she served just two weeks due to overcrowding. Following jail time, she checked into Ronal Regan UCLA Medical Center for rehab and treatment.
But the hits kept coming. Just weeks after her release, Lohan’s probation was revoked again, this time for a failed drug test after cocaine showed up in her system. She was hauled back to jail for a brief stay and immediately after her release checked in to the Betty Ford rehab center. Although charges were ultimately dropped, a staff member at the facility accused Lohan of attacking her after she asked the celeb to complete a drug and alcohol test.
Lindsay Lohan, 2011 – present
2011 saw more of the same for the clearly distressed Lohan. Once again, she found herself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, including everything from theft charges to – unsurprisingly by this point – more probation violations. It took her until March 2012 to complete the terms of her probation stemming from her 2007 arrests. Although it seemed she was out of the weeds, it was just a matter of months before more LiLo problems surfaced.
In March 2013, Lindsay was in court again, this time for lying to police about a 2012 car accident where she tried to claim she wasn’t driving, though it was later revealed that she was. As part of her plea agreement, she entered her sixth rehab stint in as many years this past May and was just released in August.
Lindsay Lohan’s Book & Story
Lindsay has so far seemed to stay clean and has gotten back to work. Her latest project, as reported by TMZ, is a tell-all book that began as diary entries she wrote in rehab. Although it has no defined subject yet, Lohan’s last few years have certainly given her plenty of material. She even reportedly met with Waxman Leavall, a literary agency that’s repped many a celeb author.
