The Best Hangover Cure: Top 10 Best Myths
Greasy breakfast: This can be argued for the number one best hangover cure… or it’ll just make you sicker!
Alka-Seltzer: This fizzy medicine has been used to “treat” hangovers for over 80 years.
Hangover pills: This may not be the best hangover cure out there, and honestly shouldn’t be trusted. There is very little evidence that hangover pills can in fact “cure” a hangover. There are plenty of other, safer ways without to avoid a nasty hangover without having to put unknown substances in your body; try a multivitamin instead.
Coffee: Drinking coffee to cure your hangover is just plain silly. Caffeine actually can raise your blood pressure, which could potentially make your hangover worse.
Sports drinks: Heavy drinking causes dehydration, which is mostly what makes you feel so sick the morning after a hard night of drinking. Drinking water or sports drinks can hydrate you, and is probably one of the best ways to cure a hangover, but won’t happen right away.
Sauna: This is extremely dangerous for your health; going in the sauna while hungover can cause dangerous blood vessel and blood flow changes in your body. Drink water and hydrate yourself – don’t try and “sweat it out.”
Sleep it off: Resting in bed might generally be one of the best hangover cures out there. Who wouldn’t want to lie around in bed all day after an epic night of chaos?
Advil: Pain relievers may provide some relief, but could upset that stomach of yours more.
Sprite: This is even too ridiculous to write. It doesn’t work.
Stay sober and don’t drink at all: This is the best hangover cure of them all!

The truth is, there is no best hangover cure, and hangovers simply take time. Drinking plenty of water, eating, and rest is what will eventually eleviate that nasty headache and stomachache. Do not attempt to drink more alcohol to cure this hangover; this could result in the development of alcoholism.
