“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.” – Mother Teresa
Keep Calm And Be Merry Meditation
Why can’t the magic of the holiday season last all year long? It can – keep calm and be merry as I explain how. It’s not the season that sets the tone, it’s the people in it that do. When we make a decision to be happy and share that happiness with others, we are amazed at how good we feel. We see the joy in people’s eyes and the warmth in their heart as a result of our actions. It feels amazing to know that when we are kind, our kindness is shared in the lives of those around us. The very same lives we have touched, now share that same kindness with others. How about we take our merry attitude into 2014?
Keep Calm And Be Merry By Being Happy
Happiness, joy, and a good attitude are all choices that we can make today. We can choose to be the very same people we wish to encounter in this world. Some people may not see your kindness; be kind regardless. Some people may not appreciate your generosity; be generous anyway. Some people may not say thank you and please; speak these words always. You see, it is not about what we get when we do these actions; it’s about doing what’s right. It’s about leading by example and showing others what kindness, patience, tolerance, understanding, compassion, empathy, selflessness, and love looks like.
We live principled lives because it makes us better people and it makes the world a kinder, more loving, world. We live this way of life because our reward is not money, material possessions, or fame; it’s simply a feeling that’s indescribable. It’s a mix of humility, gratitude, unconditional love, and a wholeness that some people search their entire lives for. It’s a spiritual fullness that only one can experience by living this way and growing to be a better person each day.
Keep Calm And Be Merry All Year Long
Do not stop being a good person or being happy and joyous just because the holiday season is over. There are plenty of people in this world that need some of your light, you best keep calm and be merry all year long so that others can find their way through the darkness.
