K.I.S.S. “Keep It Simple Silly!”
Keep It Simple Quotes
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. – Confucius
Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler. – Albert Einstein
We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do. – Mother Teresa
My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness. – Dalai Lama
Keep It Simple Meditation
It’s not uncommon for addicts or alcoholics to make things complicated; it’s pretty comfortable in fact. Thinking is sort of our problem and it’s not always what we think about, rather on how much we think about it. The obsessive thoughts of an alcoholic or addict are almost mind numbing. Many describe it as a hamster on a wheel spinning endlessly. The obsessive thinking either takes the alcoholic or addict to a very dark place or back to drinking or drugging if not halted. The Keep it simple concept may be simple, but not easy.
How Do You Keep It Simple
For most of us, our experience working a program of recovery where one trusts a Higher Power, cleans house, and helps others, seems to work with clearing our heads of too much thinking. The concept is rather simple. If one is focused on what they can bring to the world rather than what they can take away, the focus then is taken out of one’s head. Imagine a world where everyone thought less about themselves and more about how they can help others? It would pretty peaceful and simple.
One Day At A Time
Today is all we have and what we do with it will determine our own level of happiness. When we think too much of the past and future we forget to enjoy the gifts of today. The experience is what life is about, not the destination. How am I making my experiences today count? When I lay my head on the pillow at night, do I drift into a peaceful sleep or my own thinking? Trust a Higher Power, clean house, and help others and your thinking might just be able to keep it simple.Tags: 12Steps, AA, Holidays, keep calm, keep it simple, kiss, motivational monday meditation, NA, Recovery
